DATA-INFORMED CURRICULUM

During the Utah House Education Committee, I argued that decisions about gun safety curriculum should be developmentally design and rooted in evidence-based methods. The current bill failed to provide an example of a proven gun safety curriculum for the all ages that were mandated.

REDUCED TO FREE

During the Utah House Education Committee, I advocated for legislation providing free school meals for all public school families that qualified for either free or reduced lunch. This legislation is fiscally reponsible and is a step in the right direction (although I wish it was universal for all students).
