Open Tryouts: Universal School Lunch

Published in Deseret News, I argued that given the potential academic and societal benefits, universal school lunch deserves, at minimum, a tryout. The price tag does not seem unrealistic when you compare it to the $80 million allocated for scuba diving, trampolines, and private dance lessons through vouchers.

Local and state school boards, and the Utah Legislature can take manageable steps to gather measurable effects.
