During the Utah Senate Education Committee, I advocated for a bill proposing universal school meals for Utah public school families given the rich data backing the potential benefits of such program.

HANDS OFF LOCAL DECISIONS

During the Utah House Education Committee, I opposed a state-wide ban on Planned Parenthood in participating in sex education instruction as it was biased and failed to address the concerns of the majority of people in my community.

During the Utah House Education Committee, I advocated for a bill proposing to address chronic abseentism and conducting a pilot study to determine its effectiveness. Chronic abseentism is an issue and this is one solution that deserves a chance for testing.
